Business Rationale for the Creation of PRSThe single most important resource to give hard working, underpaid, dedicated and compassionate staff is user-friendly, contemporary technologies to do their job efficiently in this era of transformation. Staff needs are critical in order to enhance services and outcomes for consumers. It is important for staff to feel of value and a sense of respect for what they do. Pride in their work is displayed in a professional manner when they have access to user-friendly and contemporary technologies. Program data management and reporting of “real-time” desired outcome results are then shared with staff to demonstrate how their hard work is achieving desired outcomes. Anecdotal comments and observations are no longer recognized or accepted in the behavioral healthcare industry. The statement, “She appears to be doing better.” simply is not a competitive advantage for providers attempting to survive in this business that demands accountability.
